Meet the Nurse and complete a medical assessment

Meet with our Specialist Nurse Consultant and complete a medical assessment. The Nurse will discuss your concerns then examine your skin to identify the problem and recommend a suitable treatment. As BTox is a prescription-only drug, it will need to be ordered for your appointment should you wish to be treated.

Price Expectation

As the products are priced per area; only once you have attended the clinic for a full consultation can the Nurse fully assess the quantity of product required, but below are some examples of some typical treatments:

1 area (ie. crows feet) = £200
2 areas (ie. between the eyebrows and across the forehead) =£250
3 areas (ie. between the eyebrows, across the forehead and the crows feet) = £300
Treatment of hyperhydrosis (ie. under armpits) =£450

Get treated

If you would like to proceed with treatment you can either book another appointment or have treatment on the day. Before having your treatment you should think about any up coming events in case you suffer from any bruising or swelling. A typical treatment would look like this:
1. Before pictures will be taken
2. The problem areas will be identified and the injection points marked out with a pen which will be removed at the end.
3. The area will be cleaned and the Nurse will use a micro-fine needle to inject the drug, just beneath the skin. You may be able to see small raised bumps for half an hour or so after the treatment until the drug is completely absorbed by the underlying muscle.
4. The Nurse may periodically massage to areas to aid the absorption of the product.
5. When the procedure is finished, a cream will be applied to the area to help reduce the swelling and 'after' pictures will be taken.
6. You will be given the option to attend a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks times at which point the amount of movement will be assessed. If a higher dose is required, it may be administered. However repeated small doses of toxin can lead to resistance so 'top-ups' are avoided unless necessary.
7. Whilst the result are often apparent within 2-3 days, you can expect slight swelling in the area for the next day or 2. By day 14 you should be able to see the 'full effect' of your treatment. If deep static lines were present before treatment, the resurfacing of the skin is gradual and improvement will take time and several treatments may be required before you achieve the desired results.
